to move or not to move... I value your opinion.
CS6 or move to CC

I would wait for Adobe to fix the problems it has with its new CSS Designer, which replaces the old CSS Panel. The Designer is utterly useless and designed for the web designer equivalent of kindergarteners. Seriously. Beyond that, CC is a very good upgrade as it is much faster. It is still as unstable, though, as earlier versions. Doing extensive work between an HTML page and a CSS file will cause regular crashes. Bottom line... I only use CC for testing extensions and giving Adobe suggestions for how to improve it. I honestly think Adobe will improve it - but I would wait.

I agree. The new CSS Designer panel is definitely a downgrade. It takes so many more clicks, scrolling and typing to edit or even find simple rules that I find myself going back to cs6 for most tasks
CC does handle media queries better, and gives you a visual way to add box and text shadows and gradients, but those few things are not worth the added aggravation of having to use the new CSS Designer panel. I wish we would at least have the option of using the old method!Al, what is the best way to report to Adobe our dissatisfaction with the new CSS panel, and offer suggestions?

As you play with the designer you'll notice that the gradient feature produces the most verbose possible code. Additionally, there is no eyedropper tool so writing the rule manually is a lot easier - and safer. You'll also note that if you select a rule in the designer to edit and then click back into either code or design view, the rule you were editing loses focus and the panel scrolls back to the top. There are many more little goodies :-)

On a similar line, what do you think about an upgrade from CS5 to CS6?
will it give anything better to work with (both DW and Fireworks).
No desire to go to CC.

You can just delete any code you don't want.
