2. You are using a non-American version of Dreamweaver CC 2017
Adobe has admitted a bug in CC 2017 that only allows extensions or add-ons to e installed in American versions.
That's probably my case then. Adobe's policies get curiouser and curiouser. Or, more accurately, madder and madder.
This means I will have to do the layout of my pages in future with the help of PVII extensions and menu's in my " old" DWCS5 on my Windows machine, and schlepp the results to my Mac to work on.
It can be done, true. But why? I've spent several thousand dollar on DW since I got DW 2.1 as a freebie with a magazine. Several thousands! I bought that software fair and square. And I am willing to pay for a Mac version - if Adobe would let me.
PVII's products have always been downwardly (is that a word?) compatible. Thank God for that. Older versions of Macromedia DW could be installed on Windows and/or a Mac. I am going to dig out one of these old versions and install it on my Mac.
I know the PVII extensions will work.
Bye, buy, Adobe.
