Do it by hand, best way.
You only need Title, Description Tags. Very few search engines read keywords anymore.
All the other nonsense you see added by meta tag is just waste of time.

Hmmm... not so much.
<section> xx </section> allow for more than one h1 per page. This is very important these days when thinking about pages that contain a lot of info on one page.
I am building sites with 4 or more <section> that use DMM menu to move to the section. These are all very SEO friendly for h1 within each section.
If a section is only a class and not a <section> then the h1 SEO is negated.
Just my humble thoughts.

My system is to build database entries for each page and then tag into each page, so there is a url title, meta description, page headline, page subtitle, page content, etc. So each base page has those to pull from the database. Client logs into admin to change the url title, meta description, page headline, page content etc at will.
Since sites use more than one page headline (h1) and content on a top page, then the url title/meta are not relevant on those entries. I just hide those entries within the sections. Still the h1, still the content, but not the metas, etc.
Works fine.
On pages where scripts hide some content, i.e., "read more" or omni panel content etc, Google puts that hidden stuff as secondary. It still counts it but it ranks lower. So semi-hidden stuff, is lower on the ranking. But not ignored.
