I have a tooltip appearing to the right of an image (as an alt). The image is a link. When the screen width is reduced the tooltip moves over the image and prevents the link being pressed. What's the solution? Thanks.

OK I added a @media rule and a top margin to move the tooltip below the image when the screen is narrow. Kind of think this should be built in.

Hello, There.
Since ToolTip Magic is a deprecated/retired product, not sure there will be further development/additions made to the product.
I believe the successor/replacement to ToolTip Magic is -- Pop Box Magic - A Revolutionary Responsive PopUp Maker

I have Pop Box Magic but it is a nightmare to position the pop-up and then it needs styling to look like a tooltip. The problem I have now is that I would like the tooltip to appear when the page is loaded but automatically close after a few seconds. Pop Box magic doesn't do that either.

A nightmare? It sounds like you might be approaching your project from a desktop/laptop perspective, while we have come to take a more mobile-first approach. By "looking like a tooltip" I assume you mean some type of pointer, which real browser tooltips do not ever have, actually :-) That becomes difficult in a responsive layout because you cannot predict the relevant positioning. Anyway, why don't you post a page that contains your image and its popup text and we'll see what we can do. Consider this quick example:

Thanks for the example. It would be great if the pop-up was only triggered when mousing over part of the image, eg the small diagonal back too-tip middle left. But what I would really like is if the pop-up stayed open after the user mouses out of the trigger image. At the moment it closes making the actual X close button in the pop-up virtually redundant.

Well, I guess you haven't looked at the PBX interface, user guide, or home page... so perhaps the cause of your nightmares is simply a failure to read the documentation. From the user guide:
Enable Mouse Over Action
With this option checked, your Trigger will operate onMouseOver (hover) or when tapped on a touch device. Disable this option and your Trigger will function onClick/Tap.Posted 5 years ago
