Looking good!
You added the rule in the right place, since your p7FGM-01.exceptions.css stye sheet is lined after the FGM style the rules will over-ride the FGM rules.... perfect!

Thanks for e-confirming that I'd correctly added the new rule to the customized "p7FGM-01.exceptions.css" style sheet, and that I've properly placed that style sheet's calling "after" the default "ptFGM-01.css" sheet's calling. Sinclair had done a wonderful job over the years, teaching me that concept and reminding me of it when I'd forgotten to place the "exceptions" style sheet after the default style sheet.
Gee. I miss seeing Sinclair's helpful and reliable participation in this p7 forum. Have we lost Sinclair? Hope not!

2. I want all of the enlarged image slides to have: (a) a caption at the bottom and top; and (b) a text box on the right (for vertical/portrait images) and a text box beneath horizontal/landscape image slides. There may also be occasions when I want a text box on the right as well as at the bottom of image slides. Assuming that I'll use PBX for those text containers, how do I create instances that have a text box on the right, one at the bottom (in addition to the bottom caption), and one at the right and bottom of an image slide?
Hi, Gerry:
Now that I've activated and styled Magic Box for the first four thumbnail images on my page, I'm ready to add one or more text boxes to each enlarged image. You've already told me that the captions I requested (in 2. a., above) and be set at only one location: the top or bottom. At this point, you'll see that I've chosen to put captions atop each enlarged image. What's needed next is to set up and style new descriptive text containers that relate to each enlarged image. Regarding my inquiry in 2. b., above, for horizontal/landscape images, a new text container is to go beneath those images; for vertical/portrait images, the text container will go to the right of those images.
How do I add these essential text containers to each enlarged image?

Thanks very much, Gerry!
You would use the Description box in the MBX interface. It allows for either above or below the image placement.
As I mentioned earlier MBX does not support descriptions at the left or right of the image. I would strongly suggest that you follow suit and place the description above or below the image. Attempting to place the descriptions to the side of the image will not render well on all device widths, you may wind up with a description box that renders just one or 2 words per line. Again, use the built-in capabilities of MBX, in image display mode, and place the descriptions either above or below the image.
Hi, Gerry:
After reading about MBX's disappointing limitations with respect to where description containers can be placed, I looked again at the examples on your Magic Box page and determined that I ought to try creating "content slides" that can have description containers on the sides of images. This will require much more creative effort but I believe it will be worthwhile.
Today I created one sample "content slide." Because my concerns now relate primarily to Magic Box (MBX) functionality and styling, I'll close this FGM thread and begin a fresh MBX thread, coming soon. Thanks for your continued support with your products.
