-Added New Feature:
The Typewriter Animation works in all three HFX modes, the speed is controlled by the 'Delay Between Characters' setting in the interface, optimally set this somewhere in the 40 to 60 range.
Fixes: A few minor UI issues were also addressed

Installed the update, but not seeing the results when testing the Typewriter feature? All the other behaviors seem to work fine?
I see your Typewriter example working on your website.
I tried setting delay to 40, 50 and 60 - just no text shows up when I preview?
Be sure that you followed steps 5-9 to insure that the new css and scripts files are placed into your site and server:
5. Locate the p7hfx folder and delete the p7HFXscripts.js and p7HFX-01.css files inside
6. Go to your page and open the HFX interface as if you were going to edit it
7. Make no changes. Simply click OK
8. The system will create new script and CSS files
9. Upload the revised p7hfx folder to your server
If that does not solve the issue then please provide a link to the page so that we can diagnose this for you.

So the Typewriter effect only works from an uploaded page on a server? All the other effects show up when previewing in a browser (prior to actual upload)?
No, the Typewriter effect will work local or on your server, just like any of the other effects. The issue you are seeing is that the update css and scripts files are not being seen by your browser... it is either a cahce issue in your browser or you have not followed steps 5 thru 8 to get the new css snd script files inot your /pyhfx folder.
Confrim that the lates css snd script files are bwing used:
1. In the Files panel, locate the /p7hfx folder
2. Open the p7HFXscripts.js file and confirm that the version number at the top is 1.1.7 build 21
3. Open the p7HFX-01.css file and confirm that the version number near the top is 1.1.7
If both files are the latest 1.1.7 version then your browser's cache need to be cleared or do a hard reload (Ctrl-F5)

The problem I was experiencing was on my 16" M1 MacBook Pro running the most recent version of Monterrey and DWCC. I did not have the previous version of HFX 1.1.6 ever installed on that machine, so v1.1.7 was an initial install. I was finally able to get the effect to show up when previewing in Firefox, but still cannot see it in Safari or Chrome (all other effects preview fine)?
In the meantime, I went to my main computer (where I create websites), a 2019 Mac Pro running the latest version of Big Sur and DWCC (just updated by Adobe today), followed your instructions above (forcing a 1.1.7 recreation of files) and everything is previewing perfectly in all browsers?
Having everything work on the MacPro is all that really concerns me, just curious why I am having issues on the MacBook Pro? I have tried clearing the cache in Safari and still nothing? I have never previewed anything in Chrome on the MacBook before, but that one effect does not show up there either. Wonder if it is maybe Monterrey OS/browsers issue? In any case, I am good to go on the Mac Pro!

It's good to hear that everything is working fine on your Mac Pro.
How are you doing the preview? Are you using the 'Preview using Temporary File' option in Preferences?
Does it work when you open the file directly from the Safari browser (not through Dreamweaver) ?

If I deselect "Pause when not in view" I can get it to at least show up through at least one cycle now in all browsers. When Play Continually is selected and I have just one text item, the text just disappears after the first cycle plays. If I add multiple text items everything works and loops correctly?

The HFX play (looping) mode requires at least 2 text items to work correctly. If you just want to display one text item then simply set up 2 identical text items. The Rotator cannot work correctly is only one text item is defined.

On the vertical display option, is there any way to increase the distance between the top item and the rest?

You can add bottom margin to the first item to provide the separation for the first item. Here's how:
1. Open the p7hHFX-01.css style sheet and add this style rule:
.p7HFX.hfx-vert .hfx-item:first-child {
margin-bottom: 30px;
}
2. Save and close the style sheet.
Adjust the 30px amount as needed.
To get the unordered list presentation:
1. Open the HFX Modify interface
2. At the bottom right of the interface select "Bullet" from the "Item Marker" selector
3. Click the OK button to apply the changes.
The vertical list will now show as an unordered list with the bullet marker.
